What is the one thing you should never give to a chainsaw murderer? In most of the world the answer to that question is a chainsaw. However, in Norway the answer is a prison cell. Yet another reason we should not be like Europe:
This is just beyond parody. I mean the idiot running the place literally says "We had a chainsaw murderer here on the island. Eventually he was allowed to work in the forest with a chainsaw". What is wrong with the people of Norway?
By the way the cutesy numbers they site for how wonderful this program is are way off. They say that only 10 % of these guys end up behind bars again but in reality the number is 0% because these guys are never locked up in the first place. There are no bars and they're even allowed to leave the freaking "prison" if they want. These guys are convicted rapists and murderers and Norway is giving them their own private island retreat as "punishment".
I pray this kind of insanity never comes to our shores.
