Obama's Half-Year Approval Ratings Highest in D.C., Hawaii; Lowest In Wyoming, Utah

A new Gallup poll released yesterday of President Barack Obama's 2010 half-year approval ratings shows he garners the most support in Washington, D.C and Hawaii. At the opposite end of the spectrum, Obama's approval sinks the lowest in Wyoming and Utah with a 56% gap between his highest rating (85%) and his lowest (29%).

Overall, Obama averaged a 49% approval rating nationwide during the half-year time frame. He received at least a 50% approval in 15 states and the District of Columbia, in four states he had an approval rating of 60% or higher. Nine states put Obama's approval below 40%. - (Click image to enlarge)
