Wrong: Chuck Todd Claims Overturning Roe V. Wade Makes Abortion 'Illegal'

[See NewsBusters for more.] While badgering Mike Huckabee on Sunday, Meet the Press anchor Chuck Todd inaccurately claimed that overturning Roe V. Wade would make abortion "illegal." The NBC journalist highlighted statements the former Republican governor has made about gay marriage. Todd worried, "Are you advocating essentially nullification here by the states if the Supreme Court legalizes same-sex marriage?"  Todd followed up by mentioning another social issue: "If the Supreme Court on a Friday rules that -- basically overturns Row v. Wade, makes abortion illegal in this country, would you say -- would you support that or do you think it has to go through the same process you just described?" No, it would simply return to the states.
