With Hillary Clinton still unable to finish off Bernie Sanders many in the liberal media are trying to drag her over the finish line. The night of the Indiana primary, which was a Sanders victory, CNN wanted to know when he would get out of the way and stop hurting Clinton. In a similar way, The Daily Show decided that Thursday night was the right time to actually analyze Sander’s proposals and tell the truth about them.

Host Trevor Noah tried to start off with talking about Sander’s proposed tax increases, but was interrupted by Desi Lydic who didn’t want him to trigger Sanders’ supporters. “No... Trevor, have you ever pissed off Bernie Sanders supporters? It's like poking a hornet's nest. A hornet’s nest with student debt,” Lydic exclaimed, “Can't you just do something less controversial like, I don’t know, draw a picture of Muhammad on a pig?” Lydic’s comment about Sanders’ supports seemed to discredit them as a group.

Sanders’ stance as the anti-war candidate was next on Noah’s hit list. He brought attention to Sanders’ support of the highly advanced F-35. “He supports the F-35 because a bunch of him are made in his state, Vermont. But it's hard to be pro trillion-dollar jet and anti-military waste,” he stated.

If that wasn’t enough to discredit Sander’s to Democratic voters, Noah went a step farther. “Voters want nothing more than someone who takes on the establishment,” Noah noted, “Someone who speaks his mind even if his promises are unrealistic and has an insane head of hair.” From there, Noah made the ultimate discrediting comparison for democrats, “I just realized, Bernie's campaign reminds me of Donald [Trump].

Noah argued that it was important for conversations like this to happen. But the timing of this conversation is suspect, because now is the time Clinton needs it most.
