Van Jones says he doesn't just sing "America the Beautiful," but also believes in it. Americans singing "America the Beautiful" express 'cheap patriotism' if they fail to protect America's beauty, such as environmentalists.

He continues to say, at the Take Back the American Dream conference, that snapping a picture of the Statue of Liberty is also cheap patriotism, unless one is in support of immigration.
