I´ll tell you this is an action that the Tennessee House has used on very few occasions since the civil War. Thousands of people flocked to the area outside the State House in order to support the two expelled lawmakers. The can run for their seats again in a special election, but at this time, as I initially stated, the debate is open as to whether the racial issue was what motivated these expulsions.
