REV. AL SHARPTON (26 July 2013): Bill O’Reilly’s all upset, it’s the black family it’s the breakdown of the black family and Sharpton shouldn’t be talking to Rappers. Nobody condemns the lyrics more than I do, but the only way that we’re going to turn them around is talk them and deal with them. I have a book coming out, Simon and Schuster and one of the Rap companies and in the book I talk about why I’m against the lyrics and all. Why would you do it with one of them? Because I want them to help market it to their young fans that we’re not the enemy. We’re trying to correct you and the fact they we we’re able to convince them to do it is a major achievement. But you know why they’re scared? You know why they upset? Cause they know if we get these young folks with us, these young artists who have a lot of influence on young people that that is something that will turn this country around because then everybody is together. Scared them to death when they saw Jay-Z and Beyonce and them join the march. They don’t want that.
