U.S. Senator George LeMieux (R-FL) today spoke on the Senate floor about the administration's response to the Gulf oil disaster. Senator LeMieux, who asked the President on June 15th to lift regulations allowing skimmer vessels to leave their ports and come to the Gulf, stated the suspension is welcome, but comes several weeks too late.
