NBC analyst Steve Schmidt argued that Rush Limbaugh should be "shut down" by the Republican Party. David Gregory used the occasion to advocate that the GOP abandon fiscal conservatism. I thought the press was supposed to be about exchanging ideas, but I suppose that means "Only the ideas we agree with."
