Rep. Gwen Moore: 'Men Would Drag Native Women Back onto Tribal Lands' to Beat, Rape Them

In an interview on C-SPAN's "Washington Journal" on Wednesday, the 20th anniversary of the Violence Against Women Act, Rep. Gwen Moore (D-Wis.) said prior to the reauthorization of VAWA - which added protections for Native American women and LGBTQ women, men would literally "drag" Native American women back onto tribal lands to beat and rape them knowing there would be no consequences.
