President Calls Libya Deaths 'Not Optimal,' CNN Waters Down the Controversy

After the President remarkably said on the Daily Show, "If four Americans get killed, it's not optimal," CNN's Jessica Yellin noted that host Jon Stewart used the word "optimal" in his question and "the President repeated it."

However, Stewart was referring to "not the optimal response" by the administration to the attacks, not to the deaths themselves. Obama called the deaths "not optimal."
