Today over at Hot Air, Ed Morrissey brings up 'PAYGO' (remember that?), where Democrats claimed they would pay for programs as they go along. Ed accompanies the post with a video of Obama circa 2008 speaking on the program and lambasting then President George W. Bush on his spending.

However, it'd be an understatement to say he was the only person trumping it up. Perhaps the most outspoken was Nancy Pelosi.

Now, the following didn't occur from 2008 (the Obama video) and 2010 when PAYGO was signed into law- but on March 1, 2011.

Here, she brings up the topic again and claims fiscal responsibility is part of who the Democrats are.

She boldly declared, “fiscal responsibility is a part of who we (Democrats) are.” Pelosi then continued, touting PAYGO and claiming the “numbers will add up or not add up.”
