Obama: U.S. Does Not See Ukraine, Syria Crises as ‘Some Cold War Chessboard’

“Our approach as the United States is not to see these [conflicts] as some Cold War chessboard, in which we’re at competition with Russia,” President Obama said on Wednesday, asked whether differences with Moscow over Ukraine and Syria were part of “a tug of war between two world powers.”
