Nets Tout ‘Encouraging Progress’ in Iran Nuclear Talks; Predict ‘Celebration in the Streets’ of Tehran

On Monday, all three network morning shows eagerly touted the Obama administration’s long-delayed effort to reach a deal with Iran over its nuclear program. On NBC’s Today, news anchor Natalie Morales announced: “Negotiators from six world powers are finally making some encouraging progress with Iran on a deal over its nuclear program.”

On ABC’s Good Morning America, correspondent Martha Raddatz reported on the deal from Tehran and declared: “Everyone we have talked to on the street during this week we have been here are eager to see those sanctions lifted and we expect celebrations in the streets if, and when, a deal is announced.”
