I took some flak awhile back for saying that--his liberalism notwithstanding--Chris Matthews has a patriotic streak. More evidence for my theory on this evening's Hardball, when Matthews, twice called the president's response to the ISIS terror threat "dainty" and said "I don't see us doing anything."
