MSNBC: Republicans Dropping Trump Only Because Crude Talk Is About 'White Women'

[See NewsBusters for more.] According to MSNBC, the only reason some Republicans are dropping Donald Trump after his disgusting comments on an audio tape is because it involves “white women.” Discussing Friday’s tape in which the candidate insisted he could “grab [women] by the p***y,” AM Joy guest and author Rebecca Traister on Saturday insisted, “I'm really struck by these Republicans who are suddenly disavowing him, as if this is a particularly different sentiment. And I think it's interesting this was something he voiced about white women.”  She added, “But this tape is somehow thought of in a different category. Why? Because he's saying these things about a white woman?” Regarding an Associated Press story on The Apprentice and yet more lewd talk from Trump, host Joy Reid wondered, “This same week, a blockbuster story came out from the Associated Press that described the treatment of women on that show, interestingly enough, the white women on that show.”
