On his November 3 MSNBC show "Up with Chris Hayes," host Chris Hayes pontificated in the wake of Hurricane Sandy that "we've released millions of years of stored-up carbon into the atmosphere.... threatening the very monuments of civilization that we so cherish."

Without stating that the liberal program to combat climate change involves punishing taxes and regulation that would lessen living standards, Hayes preached: "You are either on the side of your fellow citizens and residents of this planet, or you are on the side of the storms as yet unnamed. You cannot be neutral."
