[See NewsBusters for more.] On Tuesday morning, MSNBC's Morning Joe and CNN's New Day finally got around to covering Special Counsel John Durham's latest filing that revealed Democratic operatives obtained internet data from the Executive Office of the President and other Donald Trump-related entities in an attempt to spin the Russian collusion narrative. Morning Joe portrayed it as a Benghazi-like Fox News non-troversy whereas New Day called the new revelations "very vague" and wondered if Durham has his facts straight.
After multiple segments of trying to claim there is nothing important to see, former RNC Chair Michael Steele summed the whole thing up by declaring, "it just reminds me of just how many times we get caught in the Donald Trump stupid trap and how many times, you know, you watch this process unfold, Joe, in which Donald Trump and his ilk are out there massaging and trying to maneuver the messaging around."
