Citing what “my sources are saying,” the Washington Post’s Leigh Ann Caldwell on Sunday continued the pattern of journalists lamenting how President Biden is not getting enough credit for all of his presumed successes. On NBC’s Meet the Press, Caldwell relayed, “obviously, it will be great if Americans are released with these hostages, but my sources are saying President Biden doesn’t get a lot of credit, not only on this, but on a whole host of things.”
She soon acknowledged Bidenomics “is not working” as a campaign theme and Biden would lose in some swing states, but she then returned to her theme of regretting how Biden isn’t provided the credit he deserves while he’s also getting blame for “everything bad” that’s happened: “So they have a lot of work to do to once again, like I said, try to get credit for the successes that he’s had over the past two years which he keeps on getting blamed for everything bad that’s happened.”
