BILL PRESS (10 September 2013): First of all, I think Lawrence O’Donnell proved to be a real a-hole with that question. Why even book Anthony Weiner. You know everybody knows he’s a joke. Everybody knows he’s not there’s no way he’s gonna win, why even book him. But then you know, here I find myself defending Anthony Weiner. You could ask that same question of a lot of people. You could ask that same question of Hillary Clinton. Why do you feel you have to be in elective office? I mean she’s going to run for president again. She should! You could ask it of Chuck Schumer, right? You could ask it of Barack Obama. I mean politicians they’re there because, for a lot of reasons, they want to do some good, but they also want to be in elective office, there’s a big ego involved and I don’t think you can attack them for it. Lawrence O’Donnell shame on you.
