Greetings from Los Angeles, California, where the controversy continues around a conversation between a group of Latino politicians that was leaked and in which they are unfortunately insulting an African-American boy, the son of a city counselor, and also, the Oaxacan community. The recordings were made public and, well, the community has already come together, as well as religious leaders right now who are gathering here again to make their discontent known and call for the removal of the four people involved in this conversation. Today the City Council meets at 10 a.m. and this will be an opportunity for the people involved in this conversation to talk about their views and ask for a public apology; at least that's what those people who are gathered here behind my back are asking for today. And well, um, the controversy cost the position of Nury Martinez who was the President of the City Council and who apologized after these conversations surfaced, and said that she was leaving her position as president of the City Council, but not as a council member. Right now, as I tell you, members of the community are gathering to demand more answers about these conversations that were recorded and that were made public.
