SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) – Former Major League Baseball MVP and San Francisco Giants All-Star Jeff Kent was at a loss to explain his elimination from the CBS reality show ‘Survivor’ on Thursday’s episode. [Posted by: Religio-Political Talk]
Kent, a Giants 2nd baseman from 1997-2002, was voted out just one week after the cast of Survivor Philippines merged into one tribe. Immediately following his ouster, he struggled to explain why the game meant so much to him – before taking a jab at the president.
- “You know what pisses me off? I think I’ve made about $60 million playing baseball, and I want this frickin million dollars from this game; And it’s not even a million bucks. It’s 600-grand by the time Obama takes it,” said Kent. “I’m a game seven World Series loser. I’ve played in the biggest games in the world, and the worst games in the world, and this just sucks.”

During his time in San Francisco, Kent was known for clashing with fellow superstar Barry Bonds. In 2008 he donated to the Proposition 8 same-sex marriage ban campaign, and was one of several Cal Baseball players who made sizable donations to save that program in 2011.
