THOM HARTMANN (16 May 2013) (re 9/11): [Jeb Bush] locked down [Florida], high security, all that kind of stuff, and George Bush waited there for what I think was the attack he knew was coming. I don't think that he knew the details of what was coming. I think he was, frankly, astounded and horrified by the magnitude of what came, but he knew an attack was coming, and he could have done something about that, and, in fact, had he sent out a directive back when the CIA went and told him what was comin', that the CIA should talk to the FBI, they had, like, three or four of these [hijackers] that they were actively surveilling. They could -- 9/11 could have been stopped.
