Can College Students Recall Reagan?

This week marked the 10th anniversary of the death of President Ronald Reagan.

As it so happens, I had some video on hand from a project I had been doing for a few months where I went to two college campuses--George Mason University and American University--and asked students the most basic question about Ronald Reagan that I could think of.

The good news is that unlike some of my other college quizzes, a few students knew the answer to this one. I guess that's something.  Still, there was a whole lot of hesitation and very little visible embarrassment when I told them how wrong they were.
The fact that so many of them didn't even seem to care how ignorant they were is what worries me the most.
