[See NewsBusters for more.] When Bill Maher isn’t bashing Nazi Republicans who want to put immigrants in “boxcars,” the HBO comic wants to bring people together. The Real Time host on Wednesday opened a live, post-convention version of his show with this nasty joke: “For people who have been saying elections didn't offer a real choice, it is kind of a real choice. Right? ‘Hillary is going to fight for you.’ ‘Hillary is going to murder you.’ ‘How do we welcome immigrants?’ ‘How many can we  fit in a boxcar?’" Of course the boxcar reference is a thinly-veiled reference to the Holocaust. Maher seems to have no sense of self awareness. Later in the show, he told his guests, “I feel like the saddest part of our country right now is that no matter what one side says, half the country hates the other half and they just defend their team.”
