The ever pleasant Samantha Bee spent the first segment of Full Frontal Monday whining about how Hillary Clinton had taken a tumble in the polls, with Donald Trump pulling ahead in key battleground states. But for Bee, it couldn’t possibly be because Clinton had lied to the public about nearly everything, including about being a little sick. “Faced with the prospect of losing the presidency to a two-bit used hate salesman, Clinton dragged herself from her deathbed to deliver a stark warning,” about Trump, Bee opined.

Bee couldn’t stand that the public would reject Clinton’s greatness, so it must be because they are fine with a racist she concluded. “A lot of voters have decided that racism and sexism aren't great but they're not a deal-breaker, kind of like a sandwich with too much mayo,” she spat, “They think they can just scrape off the extra white nonsense.

Desperate for a scapegoat for Trump’s popularity, she lashed out at NBC for daring to give him air time:

Why do so many Americans think playing footsie with fringe hate groups isn't a disqualifier from polite society, much less the presidency? Maybe because that's the message they get from entertainment giants like NBC which gladly nurtured Trump's celebrity through all the years he was running around [talking about birtherism].

She claimed that by letting him on the air, “NBC tacitly condoned a race-baiting demagogue.” Bee slammed NBC for allowing Trump to appear on their comedy shows, and insisted it was, “because ratings matter more than brown people.” “Sure, he's making life palpably dangerous for Muslims and immigrants, but hey! He's good entertainment,” she continued.

It’s rather hypocritical of Bee to denounce a “hate salesman” being on TV when she peddles in a similar market. For instance, back in June she prayed for members of the National Rifle Association to be stricken with boils.  She also attacked evangelicals by accusing them of backing “good old white nativism” and thinking “black people are icky.” And not to mention everything she has said about her favorite punching bag, Senator Ted Cruz, or as she calls him the, “fish-faced, horseshit salesman.” There seems to be a bt of a pattern here.
