Chuck Thompson is a well known travel writer and self-proclaimed Man of the Left. He came onto Dennis Miller's radio show to promote his book entitled, "Better Off Without 'Em - A Northern Manifesto for Southern Secession".
Thompson wanted to just talk about his thesis that there's a great divide between the North and the South in America. However, Miller, being an astute interviewer, wouldn't let him just sail through his talking points and instead challenged Thompson to discuss the real divide in America in 2012, namely that between the Left and the Right.
This is a critically important discussion because it clearly illustrates how even basic facts cannot be agreed upon. If people like Thompson cannot, for example, assign ANY blame for Detroit's downfall to the leftist Democrat political machine there, then how can America possibly move forward?
