REV. AL SHARPTON (09 April 2013): There are a lot of people that are saying it is inevitable that the next Democratic nominee is should be Hillary Clinton. Now, I’ve said you know on both this show and TV show, first of all the President is Barack Obama. Let’s not run to 2-16 to quickly. But, if we’re going to talk about 2016, which will legitimately start around 2015 after you get through the midterm elections. As I travel I hear a lot of people in African American communities saying well I don’t ah I haven’t forgotten how the Clinton’s said some things and did some things that I consider wrong and biased in the 2008 election against President Obama. Others have said, well she worked for President Obama did a good job as Secretary of State and I think we ought to forgive what she said or what her husband said and bygones be bygones. Do you think the black community ought to embrace the Clintons after 2008 that enough has been proven with the years with Obama or do you think they should at least be held accountable and explain a lot of this kind of poison that was distributed in the 2008 election?
