Today, a report from CNS News shows that during President Obama's 39 months in office, 69 percent of all casualties over the 10-year war in Afghanistan occured under his command.

On June 28, 2011, Lieutenant General John Allen told the Senate Armed Services Committee that the Afghanistan decision President Obama announced the week prior in terms of troop withdrawal was not among the options the military put forward to the president and was "more agressive."

While being questioned by Sen. Lindsay Graham (R-SC), Allen said that President Obama's decision on troop withdrawal was a "more aggressive option than that which was presented."

Lindsay responded, "My question is: Was that an option?" (The plan presented by the Generals).

Allen answers, "It was not."

CNN wrote on June 22, 2011 detailing Obama's troop withdrawal plan:

"President Barack Obama announced Wednesday night that all the 33,000 additional U.S. forces he ordered to Afghanistan in December 2009 would be home within the next 15 months.

In a nationally televised address from the East Room of the White House, Obama said 10,000 of the so-called "surge" forces would withdraw by the end of this year, and the other 23,000 would leave Afghanistan by September 2012."
