DNC Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz appeared on CNN and refused to admit Obamacare is a tax while being pressed by Wolf Blitzer and instead claimed it's a penalty.

Wolf Blitzer: The Solicitor General tells the Supreme Court representing the Obama Administration it is in fact a tax. It will be administered by the IRS; it will be collected on April 15. Why can’t you acknowledge that it is in fact a tax?”

Debbie Wasserman Schultz: “Because it’s a penalty. It's not a tax. It's a penalty that if you decide to be irresponsible and continue to refuse to carry health insurance and make us all pay for your being irresponsible, then you can do that. We're not going to actually require you have health insurance. What we're saying is if you choose not to carry health insurance, then you will be assessed a penalty that will be assessed on your tax return and that effects about 1% of Americans who choose to do that.
