“You never thanked a single service member for their service in eight years.” Or at least, that's the accusation one U.S. Marine just launched at Valerie Jarrett.

In all fairness, no one ever accused the Obama administration of being big supporters of the U.S. military.

Jarrett, who was former President Obama's senior adviser, took to Twitter this past Saturday in order to thank a woman for her citizenship leadership (or something), which eventually led to Jarrett yelling at a Marine for his assertion that she never once acknowledged a military member while Obama was in the White House.

It began with a tweet directed toward Jarrett from user Candace L. Carr, saying that she “could really use a huge dose of that hope/change thing.”

After a brief response from Jarrett to Carr championing “positive change” and “the power of citizenship,” Carr responded with how she misses the Obama administration. She also told Jarrett of her work with the ACLU and the National Immigrant Justice Center (NIJC).

That was when another Twitter user accused Jarrett of never having thanked “a single service member for their service in eight years.”

Jarrett responded to the self-proclaimed former Marine by, of course, thanking Waver for his service. Then, for some reason, went all caps.

Here’s the tweet:

Conservative blogger Stephen Miller chimed in with a link to a Twitter search showing every time Jarrett ever tweeted the term “thank you for your service.” Not once were those words directed to a member of the military.

Instead, Jarrett thanked people that either worked for the Obama administration or worked for causes that the Obama administration promoted.

It seems as though, at least on Twitter, the Marine's accusation holds up to scrutiny.

Shame on you, Valerie.
