Politico is reporting that White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci intends to fire assistant press secretary Michael Short.

“I have not been informed of any decision,” Short told Politico Tuesday.

Short has denied any allegations that he has ever leaked any information.

Scaramucci has made determining who has been leaking information a priority since taking on his new role.

According to Politico, during his first day on the job Scaramucci warned his department about leaks coming from the office. “I offered amnesty in the meeting, but that decision is above my rank,” Scaramucci said.

The White House communications staff has many former Republican National Committee staffers.

Scaramucci has said that he would fire all leakers under his watch.
