Do you think you would have thought of a solution like this? Heaven forbid that anyone is put into such a horrifying situation.

Cheryl Treadway and her three children were, reportedly, held hostage by her boyfriend, Ethan Nickerson, who was armed with a knife. But, quick-thinking Treadway convinced Nickerson to let her order some pizza from the local Pizza Hut using the app on her phone. She used the opportunity to write a message to the Pizza Hut. Through a delivery order, she told them that she was being held hostage and needed help.

Using her address information taken for her delivery order, that Pizza Hut restaurant wasted no time alerting authorities of Treadway’s plight.

Police responded quickly and the situation was resolved without incident within 20 minutes.
