U.S. Army Specialist Kyle Kracht captured on video his mother’s priceless reaction when he surprised her at home after four-and-a-half years apart.

Kracht waited patiently in the kitchen for his mother Cheri Hancock to get home from work.

“Hi, mom!” he said when she arrived.

His mother was so overcome with emotion, she actually walked out of the room!

Kracht had to chase after her for a hug. Screaming in excitement, she threw her arms around her son.

“I never thought that anybody would do that to me, and so when I walked in I felt like I was in a dream," Hancock told Fox 13. "I couldn’t believe it, I really couldn’t believe it.”

“I didn’t know what to expect,” said Kracht. "I’ve gone over it in my head what she might do. I didn’t think she was gonna scream and then yell at me and ask me why I was here. I didn’t think I would have to chase after her to give her a hug, but it was way, way more than I expected.”
