An arrest warrant has been issued for Green Party presidential nominee Jill Stein.

Stein was charged with trespassing and criminal mischief after she allegedly spray-painted construction equipment during a Dakota Access Pipeline protest.

The construction of the North Dakota-based pipeline has become a popular protest target among environmental protesters who believe that the pipeline is encroaching on sacred Native America burial sites and is not environmentally safe.

Stein reportedly spray-painted the words "I approve this message" on a bulldozer at the pipeline construction site. Her running mate, Ajamu Baraka, was also charged for painting the word “decolonization” on another piece of nearby equipment.

Stein has not yet surrendered to authorities.

She issued a statement before being charged, saying law enforcement should "press charges against the real vandalism taking place at the Standing Rock Sioux reservation: the bulldozing of sacred burial sites and the unleashing of vicious attack dogs."

Stein is polling at around 3 percent in the Real Clear Politics polling average.
