Video: Protesters Stomp American Flag at Trump Event, Confronted by Veteran Families

Protesters outside of a Trump town hall event hosted by the Fox News Channel were confronted after they were seen stomping on an American flag outside the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee's Mainstage Theatre.

According to FOX6 in Milwaukee, an organizer of the protests said they were at the event to “fight hate with love”... which is ironic given the protesters were showing everything but love for their nation’s flag.

Bystanders who were veterans or had family members who died fighting for our country confronted the protesters.

“That's our flag. That`s our country. I mean, that’s -- we’ve got family members, they’ve got family members that died for their right to do that and there is just no gratefulness, no respect. There’s no appreciation and it makes me sick. It thoroughly makes me sick. I think it’s sad," James Turk said.

"Tactics like that definitely do get people upset in this country, and people of all political stripes, not just Republicans," said reporter John Roberts.

Things got heated between protesters and Trump supporters who were outside waiting for a chance to see Trump speak, forcing police to create a line and separate the opposing groups.
