If you think Obamacare’s rocky road has been a rapidly-devolving failure, then you shouldn’t be surprised that it has now become an unintentional punch line.

Earlier this week, U.S. Congressional candidates in one of Northern Virginia’s districts squared off for a debate in front of the local chamber of commerce.

The debate saw incumbent Republican Rep. Barbara Comstock and Democratic challenger Luann Bennett spar on local and federal issues for Virginia’s 10th District.

At one point in the debate, Bennett began to brag about Obamacare, and…well, the reaction might not have been exactly what she intended.

I think it’s funny that at this point, Obamacare has become such an obvious failure that mere mentions of it are laughable. You could probably understand if the laughs came from a debate in a super-conservative congressional district, but this district is in a famously-moderate part of Northern Virginia. Yikes.

I mean, it makes sense that Democrats would campaign on one President Obama’s most high-profile policy achievements. But you would think candidates might think twice about campaigning on Obamacare when it's left 11 percent still uninsured, bleeds providers, and the president himself is forced to lasso in millennials to prop up the failing policy.

Heck, even Bill Clinton called the law “crazy."
