Donald Trump held a rally in Monessen, Penn., on Tuesday where he discussed the need for trade reform and U.S. “economic independence.”

He praised the United Kingdom for deciding to leave the European Union, contending that the U.K. voted “to take back control of their economy” and that the U.S. should follow suit.

“Our friends in Britain recently voted to take back control of their economy, politics, and borders,” said Trump. “I was on the right side of that issue as you know, with the people.”

“While Hillary, as always, stood with the elites – both she and President Obama,” he added.

Trump criticized the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee for supporting the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) while her husband Bill Clinton was president.

He added that Clinton only opposes the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) because she was “shamed” into doing so.
