Trends Show Americans Transitioning Away from Transgender Ideology

Trends in polling from the last five years are showing that Americans are becoming more conservative in their opinions on transgenderism and other related issues.

Pew Research Center has reported a noticeable increase in their results of Americans expressing agreement that a person’s gender is determined by their sex at birth.

According to Pew, 6 out of 10 (60%) American adults say that whether a person is a man or a woman is determined by their sex assigned at birth. This rose from 56% in 2021 and 54% in 2017.

Pew claims no single demographic group drove this change – in fact, patterns were quite similar across the board of demographics, but the number of people supporting transgender ideology is consistently decreasing.

This is not the only time data like this has been reported.

According to a 2023 Gallup poll, there has been an increase in Americans who think that changing gender is “morally wrong.”

A majority of respondents considered changing genders to be “morally wrong” (55%), while 43% said it is “morally acceptable.” This was a four point increase compared to their 2021 poll, in which 51% of respondents believed it was morally wrong.

There was an increase among Republicans and Independents, while the number of Democrats believing it is morally wrong decreased. Otherwise, across the board, Americans were leaning more conservative on the issue.

Interestingly, it looks like this trend is carrying over into other issues, as well. Gallup conducted a poll on various social issues, in which they found a seven point drop in America's support of homosexuality from 2022 to 2023.

Perhaps this is due to the LGBT community’s increasing need to indoctrinate children with their anti-science ideology. The American public is clearly and rightfully becoming increasingly skeptical of a group of people obsessed with sexualizing children.

MRCTV recently reported on a survey conducted by Rasmussen, which found that Americans were largely opposed to transgender ideology, especially when it threatens minors.

According to the poll, “Americans agree that ‘there are two genders, male and female.’ Fully 71% of adults agree, including 57% who ‘strongly agree.’” The poll also found that a majority (59%) of Americans approve of laws criminalizing hormone replacement therapy (HRT) for minors.

The leftist run media is painting this as a horrible tragedy, of course.

UnHerd published a piece titled “US public opinion hardens on trans issues,” where they cover Gallup’s poll showing an increasing trend of Americans rejecting trans ideology. Notice the word choice of “hardens,” painting the American public as cold and calloused against transgenderism.

At the end of their data analysis, they quote Donald Trump and Ron Desantis speaking out against transgenderism, clearly painting them as anti-LGBT. Subsequently, they point out how the Biden administration has made efforts to show support for the LGBT community instead.

“At a recent Pride event at the White House, Biden also hit out at the ‘hundreds of callous and cynical bills and laws’ which have been introduced in states across the country,” the article reads. “‘Too many people in the LGBT community are worried and afraid about their future and their safety,’ Biden said. ‘So today, I want to send a message to the entire community, especially to transgender children: You are loved.’”

Similarly, the Washington Post published an article titled “Most Americans support anti-trans policies favored by GOP, poll shows.”

The opening line reads, “Clear majorities of Americans support restrictions affecting transgender children, a Washington Post-KFF poll finds, offering political jet fuel for Republicans in state legislatures and Congress who are pushing measures restricting curriculum, sports participation and medical care.”

The fact that the Washington Post affirms language use like “transgender children” and accuses Republicans of using their “anti-trans” laws as political “jet fuel,” shows us how they are coming from an angle hostile to the conservative point of view.

However, these trends actually bring real hope to Americans for the future of the country. The prevalence of transgenderism in American society presents real threats to children, such as legalization of permanent gender-affirming surgeries. Why should minors be allowed to permanently change their gender if they legally cannot vote, drive, drink, or own a gun because we assume them not mentally-capable enough to do so?

The left wing obsession and urgency to legalize such things is perhaps the primary reason Americans are starting to shun transgenderism when they once attempted to be sympathetic to it.
