Proving once again that the world has officially lost its collective mind, a Texas couple (comprised of a guy and a girl) is now saying they’re getting a divorce to make room for their mutual live-in girlfriend-slash-nanny.
In a bizarre twist of acceptable familial relations, Cristina and Benno Kaiser, who’ve been married for 12 years and have three biological children, say they’re ending their legal relationship so their 21-year-old co-girlfriend Sierra doesn’t feel left out. The plan, apparently, is for one of them to legally marry Sierra after their divorce so that she, too, can have legal rights to their three kids.
They call it a “tri-lationship,” and say it’s perfectly normal. Well, at least for them.
Cristina, who’s bisexual, says she met Sierra at a pet store at a mall several years ago, after admitting to her husband that she wanted an open marriage so she could frolick with women, too. Now, Sierra lives with the Kaisers and takes care of their three kids while Cristina and Benno are at work. The Kaisers' three kids now call her "Mommy."
And if your gag reflex hasn’t already kicked in, the tri-couple says they all share a bed and have three-way romps in the sack on a regular basis.
Benno actually told the Daily Mail, “I don't ever have to worry about having a boring sex life 20 years from now when other couples or monogamous couples are. We have a lot of intimacy between all three of us.”
How sweet.
Benno added that while the couple isn’t sure which one of them will end up married to Sierra, they believe this whole arrangement is the best way for them to prove their love to their girlfriend – a setup that’s painful to even type about, much less understand.
“The benefits of one of us marrying her are going to be on many different levels,” Benno said. “She is going to be legally considered a parent to the children and, more importantly, it will show her that this is not a temporary thing.”
“We both love her and it's something that's meant to be permanent,” he added.
The world has officially gone mad.
