Taliban Claim Bombing in Pakistan Targeted Christians, The Left Ignores It

A suicide bombing in Lahore, Pakistan killed 71 people, including 29 children, on Sunday.

The attack was perpetrated by Jamaat-ul-Ahrar, a splinter faction of the Taliban. The bomber targeted Gulshan-e-Iqbal park because it was crowded with Christians innocently celebrating Easter.

Despite liberal media refraining from admitting - or even outright denying - the fact that Christians were targeted, a statement from Jamaat-ul-Ahrar spokesman Ahsanullah Ahsan to the Associated Press proves otherwise.

Ashan stated the attack had a secondary goal of protesting Pakistan's military operation in the tribal regions.

Jamaat-ul-Ahrar also took responsibility for the twin bombings of a Christian church in Lahore last year.

There is currently no official statement from President Obama in the wake of this terror attack. The only statement the White House published was a cliche, milquetoast condemnation of all terror attacks from the U.S. National Security Council.

The term “Islamic terrorism” wasn’t mentioned once and there was no mention of Christians being targeted by the militant terror group.

According to Javed Ali, a 35-year-old resident who lives opposite the park, the force of the blast shattered his home's windows.

"Everything was shaking - there were cries and dust everywhere," he said. ”After 10 minutes I went outside. There was human flesh on the walls of our house. People were crying, I could hear ambulances.”

Pakistan has announced three days of national mourning and the Pakistani government is promising a paramilitary crackdown on terror in Lahore, which has long been a target of terror attacks.

“Our resolve as a nation and as a government is getting stronger, and the cowardly enemy is trying for soft targets,” said Pakistani Prime Minster Nawaz Sharif during the meeting senior government officials. “Our goal is not only to eliminate terror infrastructure but also the extremist mind-set, which is a threat to our way of life.”
