What’s the best way to celebrate being proud of killing an innocent unborn child? With a party, of course!

To mark the one-year anniversary of the “#ShoutYourAbortion” social media trend—which has since reportedly inspired a non-profit dedicated to normalizing the slaughter of millions of babies—Amelia Bonow organized the nationwide “Stomp the Patriarchy Ball.”

The ball, intended to mark Bonow’s original “#ShoutYourAbortion” social media post, was hosted on Sept. 10 in collaboration with the youth-oriented musical organization the Vera Project.

Bonow’s justification for holding the “Stomp the Patriarchy Ball” apparently has to do with fighting the stereotype of Seattle having a dying music scene.

Bonow told the Seattle Times, “It feels like a really special time for it to happen, because there’s all this talk about how Seattle is dying and stuff doesn’t happen here anymore. But you look at this lineup and it’s a silencer for all that.”

According to the event information for the Seattle “Stomp the Patriarchy Ball” Facebook page, “This event is part of a nationwide series of events sponsored by All Access, a coalition of organizations working to expand reproductive health, rights and justice.”

The Facebook page claims the “all ages” event featured a DJ, live music, spoken word poetry, and even a photo booth.

Although Bonow charged up to $30 for the event, the event details notes, “No one turned away for lack of funds.”

While how many people actually attend the event is unknown, over 500 people claimed they would attend the event and another 1,400 said they were interested.
