Amy Schumer recently went on “Watch What Happens Live” and revealed some details on why she backed out of the “Barbie” movie.

After originally stating “scheduling conflicts” as the reason for her departure, she told the Hollywood Reporter last year that “creative differences” between her and Sony Pictures were the cause.

“They definitely didn’t want to do it the way I wanted to do it, the only way I was interested in doing it,” Schumer said. The actress explained how she pictured Barbie as an “ambitious inventor” but the studio requested the invention be high heels made from Jell-O.

“The idea that that’s just what every woman must want, right there, I should have gone, ‘You’ve got the wrong gal,'" Schumer added.

Last Thursday, Schumer told Andy Cohen, “I can’t wait to see the movie, I think it looks awesome.” After Cohen asked for a “specific reason”, Schumer reiterated that “It really was just creative differences.” “There is a new team behind it and it looks like it’s very feminist and cool,” she said.

Cohen asked if it “didn’t feel feminist and cool” when Schumer was involved to which the actress said "yes."

The soon-to-be released movie is directed by Greta Gerwig with actress Margot Robbie starring in the movie as “Barbie” alongside her co-star Ryan Gosling who will play the character of “Ken”. Additional stars included in the movie include Will Ferrell, Helen Mirren, Dua Lia, Kate McKinnon, and more.

Perhaps, the less “feminist” the movie, the better. Gone are the days when a majority of movies appealed to the American public by providing an escape from the real world and making the audience feel good. Instead, we have the leftist agenda shoved down our throats with every movie we watch. Maybe, this decision by Schumer makes the film easier to swallow.
