House Majority Steven Rep. Steve Scalise (R-La.), who was shot on June 14 by a man who was reportedly targeting Republicans at the practice for the congressional baseball game, was readmitted back to an intensive care unit out of concern for infection.

A post on Scalise’s Twitter account claims he was readmitted to the ICU due to “new concerns for infection.” According to the pose, Scalise is currently in serious condition:

Scalise was transferred out of the ICU at MedStar Washington Hospital on June 22. At the time, his condition was viewed as fair.

According to doctors, when Scalise originally arrived at the hospital, he was at “an imminent risk of death.”

The hospital will be releasing another update on July  6.

Two police officers and a congressional staffer were also injured in the attack.

James T. Hodginkson, the shooter, had a history of writing letters against Republicans and was a vocal supporter of Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.).
