House GOP Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.), has challenged the Supreme Court to "stop this latest power grab by the Obama Administration" in an official press release sent out today.

Scalise also revealed the Republicans are readying an "alternative" health care law in the event the Supreme Court of the United States rules against the IRS in the King v. Burwell case on ObamaCare.

"If the Court rules against the IRS...Republicans will be ready to pass an alternative response to the Court's action that puts patients back in charge of their health care decisions and gives them better options than President Obama's failed law," said Scalise in an official statement released this afternoon.

"The Court's decision to uphold the law will also mean a chance for a better health care system for all Americans," he added.

Scalise sat in on the SCOTUS oral arguments for the case, and claimed in the release the plaintiff's arguments "exposed how the IRS ignored the clear and plain meaning of the law and exceeded their legal authority."
