Sadie Robertson, from the wildly popular “Duck Dynasty” series, just finished competing on “Dancing with the Stars” and has already signed on to the "Love is Project."
The Love is Project is a collaboration between African lifestyle brand LIFE Line and the company The Supply Change to help children born with special needs (or those born to special needs moms) in Kenya by teaching the women to sew so they can earn an income for their families, “send their children to school, and grow from quiet outcasts to leaders of change,” says the campaign’s Indiegogo page.
The crowd-funding campaign on Indiegogo began on December 9 and has already raised over $13,000, far past its original $5,000 goal.
The LOVE bracelet is braided by the women helped by this campaign. Anyone who donates $20 receives a bracelet and is encouraged to post a picture of themselves on social media with the hashtag #loveisproject.
