Jennifer Epstein, a Bloomberg Politics reporter, actually asked Hillary Clinton during a press conference Monday whether she believed the series of terrorist attacks that shook parts of New York, New Jersey and Minnesota last weekend could have been part of a plot by the Russians to steer the election toward Donald Trump.

Two bombings occurred Saturday morning – one in Manhattan’s Chelsea district, the other on the route of a Marine charity run in Seaside Park, N.J., – while multiple explosive devices were found at a train station in Elizabeth, just across from Staten Island. In a separate incident, a 22-year-old Somali immigrant-turned-alleged ISIS sympathizer went on a stabbing rampage at a mall in Minnesota, injuring nine people before being shot and killed by an off-duty police officer.

Epstein asked Clinton Monday:

“Are you concerned that this weekend’s attacks or potential incidents in the coming weeks might be an attempt by ISIS or ISIS sympathizers, or really any other group, maybe the Russians, to influence the presidential race in some way and presumably try to drive votes to Donald Trump, who is, as you’ve said before, widely seen as perhaps being somebody who they would be more willing to– or see as an easier person to be against?”

Because there’s absolutely no bias to be seen in this question posed by a supposedly unbiased “reporter,” who’d never dream of artificially twisting an attack by Islamic extremists into a international ploy to take down a Republican candidate.

As for Ms. Clinton, she didn’t expressly deny that the Russians could’ve been involved in the attacks in an effort to boost Trump’s public ratings. However, the Democratic nominee did suggest her Republican adversary has been responsible for helping ISIS grow their ranks.

“Well, Jennifer, I don’t want to speculate,” Clinton responded.. “But here’s what we know, and I think it is important for voters to know and hear this and weigh it in making their choice in November. We know that a lot of the rhetoric we’ve heard from Donald Trump has been seized on by terrorists, in particular ISIS…We know that Donald Trump’s comments have been used online for recruitment of terrorists.”
