During a roundtable on immigration in Texas on Monday Rep. Filemon Vela (D-Texas) told the crowd “do not make any mistake about it” - that President Donald Trump wants to send all “undocumented people” back.

Vela told the crowd that there’s 11 million undocumented people in the U.S. and that 2 to 3 million “maybe shouldn’t be here” because they committed violent crimes.

“But there’s 8 million at least, hardworking, undocumented people working in hotels, restaurants, construction sites and agricultural fields all over this country,” Vela said. “And there are those of us that believe they should stay and earn their pathway to citizenship.”

“But there are people like Donald Trump and Steve King – you know - Steve King, that guy that degraded the valedictorian, DACA recipient,” Vela continued.

“They think we should send them all back – and these new executive orders, do not make any mistake about it. Under these new executive orders the directive from the White House to the United States is for us to send all of those people back.”

Unless Vela has the power of Criswell to predict the thoughts of Trump and Rep. King, perhaps he should read Trump’s executive order and point out for everyone exactly where it says, “to send all of those people back.”
