Remember State Dept’s Snotty Response to Reporter’s Iran Hostage Plane Question?

State Department spokesman John Kirby admitted today that the Obama Administration’s $400 million payment to Iran was ransom, but his colleague attacked the victim in her snotty denial less than two weeks earlier.

Kirby admitted, on video, that the $400 million payment to Iran was contingent upon the release of Iran’s hostages – one of which State Department’s Elizabeth Trudeau accused of lying when the former hostage said the plane couldn’t leave until Iran got its payment.

Trudeau didn’t just attack the victim, she refused to answer a reporter’s identical question about the timing of the two planes (one containing cash and the other hostages) – and even mocked it for being a “tick-tock’ question – less than two weeks earlier:

“So, I’m not going to get into the tick-tock of specifics, but claims that our freed Americans were not allowed to depart Iran until a plane full of cash landed anywhere are false.”

Just watch how one State Dept. spokesperson disrespects a reporter and calls a former hostage a liar – and the other answers the same question respectfully and honestly.
