According to the organization behind President Obama's Twitter account, Bruce Jenner deciding he is now a woman named “Caitlyn Jenner” is a story of “courage” that should be shared. When the story of courage involves America’s fallen heroes, however, Obama’s supporters take a different approach.

After Bruce Jenner revealed himself as “Caitlyn Jenner” on the cover of Vanity Fair, Twitter exploded with words of encouragement—including praise from the account for President Obama.

Obama’s Twitter account, which is run by Organizing for Action, sent the tweet congratulating “Caitlyn Jenner” while posting about the theme of "pride month:"

With their tweets, Obama’s Democrats ignored the true meaning of Memorial Day by relegating it to a weekend about food and fun instead of the fight for America. When the topic is about a man deciding he is now a woman, however, Obama’s Organizing for Action believes these kinds of stories of "courage" must be told in the “fight for LGBT rights:”
